Praying with children: how to help parents? The woman who wrote this book made some very helpful videos . I hope you take time to view them, because I know you will be happy that you did. Also, read this page long interview with her about a book she wrote for parents who want to learn how to pray with their children.
You can always try the pray-as-you-go app or website for daily prayer. Try it as an adult, or with your family.
Read this, entitled Hitchhikers and Refugees, by Father Nadolski, OSFS, about Pope Francis' Share the Journey invitation to all of us.
This tree stands there Luke 10:42
This walnut tree stands there
Golden and green with leaves
Making beauty, making shadows and light, as the wind
Quivers them
And behind and above the sun and shadow weavings
Of the leaves, the oh so very blue sky and the wind drifting clouds.
This tree stands there,
Fruiting green globe houses for walnuts
That drop and turn black because they are black walnuts.
This walnut tree stands there and sings
Bird songs- sparrows, yellow finches, blackbirds, gackels,
Some sing, some chirp, some squawk…
One woodpecker pecking for bugs is chased by a squirrel,
The bugs snug in the bark and dark, alive in the dirt near the roots--
The woodpecker flies away and the squirrel climbs down to get a black walnut
Scampering, gingerly, across the top of the fence to its hiding place.
The fence, too, comes from a tree that once stood somewhere-
A tree in which bugs and birds and squirrels and wind played and ate, sang and climbed
And beauty stirred in its leaves beneath the sky and clouds.
So much life, because this walnut tree stands there,
Soaking in sun and rain, night and day, wind and me.
Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her. Luke 10:42
You are loved. Sit down awhile and know that He is God Who loves you.
